Geisenheim Wine Festival July 2011
Sunday the 17th July found us 600 miles from home and putting our music in front of a truly international audience for the first time.
Geisenheim is a village that lies within the beautiful Rheingau District of Germany, and is renowned for its production of very fine wines.
Framed within some of the most breathtaking scenery I have seen, and populated by some of the warmest and friendliest people you could hope to meet, it is a perfect setting for a 4 day open air festival of music, entertainment, food and drink.

Well except for the weather!
The two days prior to this open air debut of ours sported blue skies and balmy temperatures that decided to take a break and let the rain come in on the Saturday night and most of ourgig date, the Sunday!
A potential disaster, but thanks to possible divine intervention,or the result of an ancient
Native American Sun Dance performed by the local Sioux Indian,
Howling Full Moon River Horse, we were given respite from the downpour and played to a dry and attentive audience on the stage in front of the Town Hall.

How Lucky was that!

The Manager!

We played 2 sets of approximately 50 minutes each and were very well received indeed,
and we have been asked to return next year and cover the Saturday night spot on the larger area of the Village Square or Domplatz!
I guess they liked us!!

We would like to offer our thanks to all the people who came to see us in Geisenheim, but especially to our German Manager, Roswitha,The Festival Organiser, Ute, Hans Weschta for some fantastic video (on the videos page)
Jurgen on the sound desk, and Volker and Thomas for the brass on Sweet Home Chicago.

We had a fantastic time with some wonderful people and we look forward to next year's Lindenfest
